Hybrid Brows is a form of eyebrow colouring using a specialist eyebrow and eyelash dye. It works differently to traditional tint, as the colour dyes the hair and the skin. Traditional tint only colours the hair. Hybrid dye will grow out, whereas traditional tint fades over the course of 3-4 weeks. The effects of Hybrid Brows are the same as Henna but it does not contain any Henna product.
Regular brow tinting usually lasts around 3-4 weeks and that’s only if you avoid washing your brow area. Regular brow tinting also cannot disguise an over-plucked brow in need of natural brow restoration or a poor result from permanent make up or microblading.
Hybrid Brows provides optimal colouring of eyebrows and skin with a soft ombré powdery make up effect. It’s a great treatment for those not wanting to go under the needle with cosmetic brows but still require that effect. The phenomenal fortitude of the product’s ingredients allows the dye to stay on the hairs for up to 6/7 weeks and the skin for up to 10 days providing the skin isn’t too oily.

Hybrid brows treatments are suitable for everyone. However, those with very oily skin may find that the skin staining does not last quite as long on them. It’s ideal for those looking to fill in sparse gaps within the brow and love a stronger, defined brow style.
Here’s how to prepare for a hybrid brows treatment.
- If it’s your first treatment, your stylist may require that you carry out a patch test 48 hours prior
- Avoid applying any fake tan products (this includes gradual tanners and bronzing drops) for three days either side of your treatment
- If your hybrid brows treatment also includes hair removal, avoid using exfoliating products (both acids and scrubs), retinols and other strong active-based skincare for three days either side of your treatment
After your hybrid brows treatment, follow these guidelines to help make the most of the results:
- Avoid rubbing the area for 24 hours after treatment
- Avoid the use of saunas, sunbeds, swimming pools and steam rooms for 48 hours after treatment
- Do not apply fake tan or use exfoliating /anti-ageing skincare for three days post treatment
- The use of oil-based cleansers may cause the tint to fade faster
- Always follow the guidance of your brow stylist
